Are you interested in becoming a FIREFIGHTER?
The Pacific Grove Fire Department would like to give you an opportunity to participate in the operations of the fire service.
The Explorer Scout Program offered at the Pacific Grove Fire Department will let you see first hand the day to day operations
of the fire service both in suppression and public education.
As a Fire Explorer, you will learn about the organization, fire safety, public education, fire prevention and fire suppression.
You will work side by side with paid and volunteer fire personnel. You will be given the opportunity to attend Firefighter 1 and First Responder Medical training and upon turning 18 years of age, will be certified in these fields. As a Fire Explorer you will learn many aspects of the fire service and public safety in general. This is an excellent opportunity to get a head start on a great career.
You must be between the ages of 16 and 18, have parental consent, and must be willing to learn and follow instructions.
If you meet these requirements and are interested, please
call
(831) 648-3110 for more information. Upon receiving your information an advisor from our post will contact you and
arrange a meeting at the Fire Station where you will meet
the
on-duty firefighters, tour the station and receive further information.
